On Friday’s program, 24 April 2026, we discussed current political affairs with Giorgos Karameros, Member of Parliament for SYRIZA–PS, focusing mainly on the latest developments in the OPEKEPE scandal and the presence of the European Public Prosecutor in Greece, as well as on the prospects for cooperation within the centre-left, with Alexis Tsipras as a possible catalyst.
Immediately afterwards, we turned to the future of trade unionism in Greece, with emphasis on collective labour agreements and the restoration of workers’ rights lost in recent years, in a discussion with Mr Giorgos Christopoulos, President of OIELE and Head of Communication at GSEE.
The second hour began with international news and updates from the Balkans with Ivana Djordjevic. We then welcomed to the studio Mr Matthaios Frantzeskakis, Director of the Chania Film Festival, with whom we discussed the festival’s efforts to engage young people by creating opportunities for educational initiatives in schools.
During the conversation, we connected with Ms Stratoula Theodoratou, director, writer and Vice President of the Union of Directors-Creators of Audiovisual and Performing Arts, to learn more about a conference on censorship in contemporary audiovisual arts titled “The Image Under Control”, taking place on Saturday, 25 April, at 12:30, at Astor Cinema.
We wrapped up the program with sports news from Michalis Ladopoulos.
