On Friday’s broadcast, 30 January 2026, following a review of the front pages of news portals and newspapers, we spoke with Kostas Poulakidas, political editor at Avgi newspaper and Kontra Channel, about current affairs, with particular emphasis on developments within the centre-left political spectrum.
Immediately afterwards, we discussed the latest developments on the Iran and Ukraine fronts, as well as President Trump’s strategy, with Lykourgos Liakakos, PhD in International Relations.
In the second hour, we opened with an interview with Panagiotis Drosinakis, President of the Federation of Greek Communities in Germany, focusing on the government proposal regarding overseas voting in parliamentary elections, with three seats to be filled by representatives elected by expatriate Greeks themselves.
Next, the program welcomed to the studio Maria Giallousi, who spoke about her book “Shopping for Love – AIros (Love) in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. The book has also inspired a theatrical production, which is set to be staged again in theatres in Athens and across the regions.
Before the end of the program, we spoke by phone with actress and director Anna Rezan, on the occasion of her film “My Own People”, a documentary on Greeks during the Holocaust, based on her many years of research, with a focus on the Auschwitz concentration camp.
