The Voice of Greece program “Our Town”, hosted by Themis Rodamitis, welcomes three distinguished creators and representatives of contemporary Greek song: composer Nikos Platyrachos, singer-songwriter Stavros Dalkos, and vocalist Vicky Karatzoglou.
In the first part of the tribute, Nikos Platyrachos speaks about his distinctive musical works, his inspirations, and compositions such as “Oneirographia”, “Seeds of Smyrna”, “Without Voices”, and works ranging from “The Autumn Mystagogy” to the orchestral cycle “September.” Special reference is also made to “Astega” (Homeless), which creates a unique musical environment performed by Giorgos Dalaras, as well as “The Great Demonstration of One,” where the composer successfully collaborates with Stavros Dalkos and Vicky Karatzoglou.
Stavros Dalkos speaks about his three personal discographic releases, his relationship with children’s theatre, the lyrics he writes both for himself and for other artists, as well as his connection to poetry, literature, and song in general.
Vicky Karatzoglou refers to the performance “Heroes,” which marked an important milestone in her artistic journey, her participation in Platyrachos’ “Oneirographia,” her first full album “My True Dreams,” and her love for children’s songs. The talented singer, known for her distinctive artistic ethos, also speaks about women’s creativity, the challenges and mindsets they face, as well as the possibilities that open up in the age of information.
