On Sunday March 24th, 2024, at 12:00 Greek time, the show “Our Town” will make a small tribute to the lyricist Giannis Lelakis.
One of the most important lyricists of our country, who was sung, loved but also wronged, Giannis Lelakis managed with his great lyrics to motivate composers and performers to interpret creatively and expressively his work and to produce great music and performances.
We owe him many of the songs we know and love: “Paraponiara Kardia”, “Paraponiariko”, “Katarameni Ftohia”, “Min ise pseftra dignomi”, “To paliopedo”, “Svise to fos na kimithoume”, “Aliti me ipes mia vradia” and many more songs that have been performed by top Greek artists.
Manolis Mitsias and Giannis Lelakis’ children, Stella Lelakis and Vangelis Lelakis, will talk about the lyricist and the man Giannis Lelakis. They will reveal live in the studio for the first time many interesting aspects of their father.
Among other things, his opinion on important artists of his generation, his thoughts on social issues, as well as many facts about his personal life, his intellectual culture and his rare emotional world will be heard.
