Konstilia Karydi, anesthesiologist – volunteer at “Medical aid for Palestinians and International Rescue Commitee” hosted today, Thursday, March 28th, at the studio, the show TAKE YOUR TIME with Prokopis Angelopoulos. Mrs Karydi recounted on the show the shocking moments she lived as a volunteer in a hospital in besieged Gaza. This is the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis south above Rafah, where she worked with a team of doctors from Medical aid for Palestinians working with the International Rescue Committee coordinated by the United Nations.
The doctor comes from Tripoli, Arcadia and went to Oxford at the beginning of the coronavirus. As she told us, she was always interested in humanitarian missions and for this reason she took unpaid leave from the hospital where she works for a year, to offer her services, doing her work, in the war-torn area of Gaza.
