Today’s guest on “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos was the distinguished professor from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Matthaios Santamouris. He will be honored as an Honorary Doctor at the University of Cyprus’s Faculty of Engineering.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 30th, at 7 p.m. His lecture will focus on: “Urban Climate Change as a Threat to Social Cohesion, Economic Prosperity, Environmental Quality, and Urban Resilience.”
In the interview, Professor Santamouris discussed the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Milton and the seminar held at the University of Cyprus on climate change, highlighting how rising temperatures affect the cognitive abilities of students. He emphasized the significant role of carbon dioxide and other environmental factors, which influence the psychology and physiology of students.
