Tudor Dinu, Hellenist, talks about 1821 on ”Faraway Words” | 26 Mar. 24

Tudor Dinu, professor of Modern Greek studies at the University of Bucharest and honorary doctorate of the Democritus University of Thrace, joined the show by telephone on March 26. Mr. Dinu spoke about his book “The Greek Revolution of 1821 in Moldavia and Wallachia” (Proti Yli publications) which fills a large gap in both Romanian and Greek historiography, because it is the world’s first monograph dedicated to the conduct of the Greek revolution of 1821 in Moldavia and Wallachia.

This book became the historical best seller of the year 2022 in Romania. Tudor Dinu has been honored with the Academy of Athens Award in 2018 for his book: “The Phanariots in Wallachia and Moldavia”.
