Actor Tasos Lekkas on “Take Your Time” | 09 Jan. 2026

The program “Take Your Time”, presented by Prokopis Agelopoulos, hosted The Young Quill at Bellos Theatre, featuring the talented actor Tasos Lekkas, one of the leading performers in the production “No One Dies Tonight.”

As Tasos Lekkas told us, he came to Athens from Patras to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. That desire took root at a very young age, when his mother took him to see “The Great Dictator” starring Charlie Chaplin. He studied acting and graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece. As he notes, he feels fortunate to have often found himself in the right place at the right time, while also making the right choices in his work. This allowed him to be part of meaningful projects with wonderful people.

He also added that for the past five years he has been collaborating with the The Young Quill collective at Bellos Theatre—a solid core of six members that is constantly refreshed with new additions. At the same time, he is working on an interesting television project, demanding and unlike anything he has done so far, and he is eagerly awaiting the start of filming, as he said.

The play “No One Dies Tonight” explores themes such as sex, violence, power, faith, and love. Two writers, one director, and six actors engage in a long process of research and collective creation through improvisation and autobiographical material. The result is a vivid, immediate dramaturgy rooted in the present, engaging the audience on a personal level. The stories presented act as mirrors of our everyday lives—things we have heard, lived through, hoped for, or silently feared. Small and large coincidences weave the thread that connects the individual themes, creating a richly layered performance.
