Evangelia Sourounis, newly elected President of the Panarcadian Federation of America, and Nikos Frangos, President of the Hellenic Institute of Culture in Milan, spoke on Voice of Greece and the program “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis about the recent Convention of the Panarcadian Federation, held in Chicago, which focused on engaging the younger generation.
Ms. Sourounis also spoke about the history of the Panarcadian Federation of America, founded in New York in the early 1930s by eleven immigrants from Arcadia, and about its initiatives – most notably, the construction of the Panarcadian Hospital in Tripoli in the 1950s, a project the Federation continues to support through donations to this day.
