On Monday, 15 June 2026, “Our Town” welcomed acclaimed Greek lyricist and radio producer Kostas Fasoulas, whose songs have been embraced and performed by some of Greece’s most beloved artists, including Dimitris Mitropanos, Paschalis Terzis, Giorgos Dalaras, Vasilis Skoulas, Manolis Apostolakis, Manolis Lidakis, and many others.
His deep engagement with Greek poetry—particularly the work of George Seferis, Nikos Gatsos, and other major poets—opened new horizons for his lyric writing and artistic inspiration. This literary foundation played a decisive role in leading to collaborations with distinguished composers such as Christos Nikolopoulos, Giorgos Papadimitriou, Nikos Mavroudis, Marios Tokas, Nikos Xydakis, Pantelis Thalassinos Kazantzis, and many others.
Speaking from the Voice of Greece studio, Fasoulas reflected on some of the most significant encounters of his career, including his meeting with Manos Hadjidakis, who once told him that “what you write contains songs waiting to be discovered.”
He also spoke about his enduring relationship with radio, sharing memories from the Third Programme and Second Programme of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, as well as his work with the Mikro Polytechnio educational initiative, where he has mentored and promoted emerging lyricists.
