On Saturday, 13 June 2026, “Our Town” welcomed distinguished musician and composer David Lynch to the Voice of Greece studio, where he spoke with Themis Rodamitis about the issues that concern him in music today, as well as his inspirations, ideas, and future plans.
David Lynch reflected on his beginnings in Los Angeles, discussing how his Irish roots have influenced his creative outlook, his studies in jazz with renowned teachers, and the important artistic encounters that have shaped his career.
He also spoke about his journey to Athens and what led him to make the city his home. Recalling countless recording sessions for film, theater, radio, television, and dance productions, he shared stories from a rich and varied professional life. He also discussed his many collaborations with leading composers and performers, as well as his experiences teaching music to young children in West Africa.
The conversation explored a wide range of musical genres, including jazz, pop, rock, traditional music, and contemporary sounds. Special reference was made to his longstanding collaboration with Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and Stavros Lantsias as members of the acclaimed group Human Touch.
