The radio program “Our Town” on Voice of Greece presents: “The Festivities of the Bouats.” This second episode dedicated to the bouats features composer Linos Kokotos, singer-songwriter Themis Andreadis, and performer Michalis Violiaris—three artists who experienced, each in their own distinct way, the festive era of the bouats, the journey of the Greek New Wave, and the flowering of Greek song. During the broadcast, they share personal memories, speak about the many and varied bouat venues, their valuable collaborations, the liveliness and unique atmosphere of these spaces, the distinctive performances, and the beautiful songs that marked an era. They also reflect on friendships, close-knit groups, and loves. Representative and much-loved songs from the period will be heard.
