Seta Theodoridou, President of the Greek Community of Paris and Surrounding Areas, spoke to Voice of Greece radio and the program “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis about the recent events organized by the Community at the Greek House in the French capital, the strong participation of philhellenes from various nationalities, and the ongoing efforts to renovate both the interior and exterior of the building, which belongs to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ms. Theodoridou noted that two theatrical performances were presented at the Greek House in May and were met with great success: a morning performance of The Little Prince by the children’s workshop and an afternoon performance of The Nameless Tale by the adult workshop. She also highlighted a concert held on 8 June at a 300-seat theater provided by the City of Paris, where 33 adults of different nationalities performed Greek songs.
She emphasized that most participants in the adult programs are neither Greek nor French, but come from a wide range of other national backgrounds. Last Friday, the Greek House also welcomed the choir of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the choir of the Musicology Department of Paris 8 University (Saint-Denis).
