“Our Town” welcomes the multi-talented actress, director, and writer, Sofia Filippidou.
The guest speaks about her many and distinguished appearances and collaborations in theatre and cinema, as well as her other passions – poetry, literature and philosophy.
She also talks about her creative space, «Το Μαγαζάκι της Τέχνης» in Exarchia, where she teaches and directs the play “Sorry, Mr Beckett” – her first full-length theatrical work, performed by young actors and students from her workshop. The play blends poetry, satire, playfulness, and dreamlike imagery.
In an in-depth conversation with Themis Rodamitis, Filippidou reflects on “the humble nature of art”, the neighbourhood as a living stage, humour, friendship, and collective creation.
