Stella Xenopoulou from Dublin on the program “Our Global Voice” | 02 Feb. 2026

Stella Xenopoulou and Zoe Karfi, members of the Greek Community of Dublin, spoke about the “marriage” of the Greek language with Ulysses, the landmark novel by the renowned Philhellene Irish author James Joyce. They discussed a public reading of excerpts from the novel in Greek, held at Sweny’s Pharmacy, the former Victorian pharmacy in Dublin. The interview aired on Voice of Greece radio, on the program “Our Global Voice”, presented by Dimitris Kontogiannis

The program also featured Remko Jacobs, a Danish guest who performed a song he wrote for his friends in Thessaloniki, singing and accompanying himself on guitar. The song incorporated Greek words into its lyrics.
