On Thursday’s program, 23 April 2026, following an introduction to current affairs and a review of the day’s online headlines, we connected with Lesbos to discuss the latest developments regarding the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease affecting livestock, with Mr Kostas Moutzouris, Regional Governor of the North Aegean. The first hour concluded with international news from Ivana Djordjevic.
The second hour began with a live connection to Eratyra, where ERT correspondent Despoina Amarantidou conveyed the atmosphere of the celebrations of Saint George’s Day, taking place around the historic church of 1884. Immediately afterwards, Alexandra Pistofidou, founder of the Parthenon Skulpturen organization and of the Austrian Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles, spoke about ongoing efforts to fulfill the vision of Melina Mercouri and generations of Greeks for the return of the sculptures and their reintegration into the Parthenon.
In the final part of the program, we welcomed to the studio photographer and director Christina Vazou, on the occasion of the Athens premiere of the documentary “I Want to Be a Winner”, on Wednesday, 29 April. The film follows the lives of three unaccompanied minor refugees hosted in facilities of the National Emergency Aid Centre.
