t’s grape harvest season, and “The Sweet Life” traveled to Distomo. Among the vineyards stretching across the foothills of Mount Parnassus, we discovered a lesser-known side of the area: its winegrowing tradition and wines.
Winemakers Stathis Kosteletos and Stathis Kastritis spoke about this year’s harvest, the grape varieties they grow, and the history of viticulture in the area.
We were also joined by Amalia Papaioannou, archaeologist and curator of the Distomo Museum of the Victims of Nazism, to discuss the events of 10 June 1944 and the memory of the massacre.
