Who She Is: Soprano Christina Poulitsi studied at the Berlin University of the Arts (with the Maria Callas and Alexandros Triantis Scholarships) and won the First Prize in the international Nikos Dostal competition (Vienna).
She has frequently collaborated with conductor Zubin Mehta, performing renowned roles under his direction (such as Gilda, Konstanze, Contessa di Folleville, and the Queen of the Night, among others). Poulitsi is a close collaborator of renowned Australian director and Berlin Komische Oper director Barrie Kosky. She is considered one of the top performers of the Queen of the Night role (“The Magic Flute”), which she has sung at some of the world’s most prestigious theaters. Christina Poulitsi has performed at the Royal Opera House in London, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Rome Opera Theater, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
