On Thursday’s program, 12 February 2026, international relations expert Lykourgos Liakakos spoke to us about the developments in Ankara during the Mitsotakis–Erdogan meeting. We also asked him to clarify the conditions and procedures required for a refugee to apply for asylum, in light of the ongoing public debate following the tragic accident off Chios that claimed 15 lives.
In the second hour, we spoke by phone with Giorgos Pothitos, community councillor of the 5th Municipal Community of the City of Athens, just 24 hours after the hearing at the Council of State regarding residents’ appeal to prevent the overdevelopment and cementing over of the Promponas estate.
In the final part of the program, the creators of the acclaimed production “The Shadow of the Fly”, which returns after last season’s great success to the Rectifier Art Space in Kerameikos, joined us in the studio. Writer Valentina Papadimitraki, the production’s actor and director Tasos Katrakylas, and Sofia Liakou — who performs the play’s central heroine — discussed the work, which explores the consequences of short-term rentals on people’s lives and on the evolution of the cities we inhabit.
