Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s message to Greeks around the world from the Voice of Greece studio

A message to Greeks across the world, as well as to all Orthodox Christians, was delivered by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who visited the Voice of Greece studio during his historic visit to the ERT Broadcasting House.

Speaking with the Director of Voice of Greece, Elena Karagianni, His All-Holiness conveyed to listeners the love and blessing of the Holy Great Church of Christ, the Ecumenical Patriarchate. In his message, he spoke about Love, which, as he noted, is the quintessence of Christianity. He also referred to the prestige, recognition and esteem enjoyed by the Patriarchate throughout the world — something he personally experiences during his travels across the globe.

He then referred to the event held in his presence at Studio C of Hellenic Radio, during which, together with ERT President Giannis Papadopoulos, he inaugurated the new television channel ERT Cosmos. He expressed his great satisfaction with this development, revealing that he personally watches ERT television programs on a daily basis in order to stay informed about events around the world.

Concluding his message, he stressed that “the embrace of the Patriarchate is so wide that it can encompass the whole Ecumene,” once again sending a message in favor of peace throughout the world, the stability of the Holy Churches of God, and the unity of all.

Finally, he emphasized the importance of Greek heritage and the Greek language, noting that “we should be grateful to God for granting us such a great gift — the rich and beautiful Greek language, a treasure that we must preserve.”
