The program “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos hosted Lakis Delibassoglou, philologist at the Great School of the Nation, on the occasion of the new Netflix production about the life of the Greek legendary Fenerbahçe footballer Lefteris Kioutsoukandonis.

The film “Lefter: An Ordinaryus Story” is dedicated to the memory, glory, and life story of one of Turkey’s most important footballers and former AEK player. The Netflix production follows the career of Lefteris Kioutsoukandonis, widely regarded as the greatest footballer in the history of Turkish sport. The iconic “Lefter,” as fans affectionately called him, was born in Istanbul in 1924 and is considered the most significant figure in Turkish football history. The word “Küçük” (“small”) was added by the Turks to his surname due to his height.

He played for Fenerbahçe for more than a decade, scoring over 400 goals. He earned the love of the public, and it is telling that his name is included in the club’s anthem.
