Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 11 Dec. 2025

Thursday’s edition of the program, on 11 December 2025, focused mainly on Current Affairs. We connected with Volos to get an update from ERT correspondent Frosso Pavlou on the ongoing farmers’ protests in Thessaly. After the newspaper front pages, we spoke with Lefteris Triantafyllakis, president of the Heraklion Livestock Association in Crete, about the afternoon meeting between representatives of the primary sector in Crete and Ministers Kostis Hatzidakis and Kostas Tsiaras.

From Podgorica, ERT’s special correspondent Katia Antoniadi briefed us on the meetings held by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Kostas Tasoulas, who is visiting Montenegro at the invitation of its president. At the close of the first hour, we discussed the political news of the day with political analyst Maria Karaklioumi.

The second hour opened with the international news roundup from Ivana Djordjevic. We then connected with Nuremberg, where Panagiotis Zouboulakis, president of the Parents’ Association of the 1st Primary School, and Georgia Kokoreli, president of the Parents’ Association of the 2nd Primary School, informed us about the severe class-time gaps in four of the city’s schools attended by Greek children. The shortages stem from understaffing issues, which prompted parents and pupils to stage a protest on Thursday morning.

Immediately afterwards, we turned to an issue concerning the devastating wildfires that struck Evia in 2021, returning to a region still struggling to rebuild. We sought out those affected by the disaster, focusing on the sectors of resin production and beekeeping. We spoke with Vangelis Georgandzis, president of the Evia Resin Producers’ Union, and Stathis Albanis, president of the Istiaia Beekeepers’ Cooperative “I Kypseli.” Hear what they had to say about the support programmes that, they argue, are insufficient for their survival and the promises that were not kept, leaving many families in these sectors at an impasse.

A little before the end of the programme, we spoke with Meletis Pogkas, head of the Lavreotiki Active Citizens’ Initiative, about the concert being held by artists on Thursday evening, 11 December, in Keratea’s central square, marking 15 years since the citizens’ mobilisations that prevented the creation of a landfill in the area of Ovriokastro.

The program concluded with the sports news from Vicky Spyrou.
