Cheeses from the Dodecanese, wine from Lipsi and Nemea, and a soul chef in the studio who will represent Greece in Croatia. That was the menu on “The Sweet Life.”
Georgia Koutsoukou joined us in the studio ahead of representing Greece at the international Taste the Mediterranean festival in Croatia on 9 September.
The mayor of Agathonisi, Evangelos Kottoros, took us on a tour of this unique island, while Panagiotis Giannou, a cheesemaker from Kos, introduced us to posa cheese. We also discussed the cheeses of the Dodecanese and the major wine festival “Great Days of Nemea.”
Our culinary journey ended on Lipsi, where Evangelia Grylli showed us around the island’s winery and shared the history of the indigenous Fokiano grape variety.
