On this episode of “The Sweet Life,” we served pistachios from Aegina, crispy chickpea fritters with almond and garlic from Nisyros, slow-cooked chicken from Ithaca, pretzels, and a fine selection of German and Greek beers.
In the studio, we welcomed Karolina Doriti, who has been cooking professionally since 2005, is active in gastrotourism, serves as culinary director of the American TV show My Greek Table, and—among other things—leafed through with us her new book: The Greek Islands Cookbook.
We also had Marilena Giannouli, who guided us through the 16th Aegina Fistiki Fest and spoke about the nutritional value and history of the pistachio on the island.
Joining our company as well was Giannis Isaakidis, who informed us about the Oktoberfest at the German School of Thessaloniki.
Produced and presented by Nikos Ioannidis & Natasa Vissarionos.
