Kostas Spiliadis, one of the most emblematic ambassadors of Greek gastronomy and culture worldwide, was the first guest on the program “The Sweet Life” on Friday, 8 August. He spoke about his acquaintance with Mikis Theodorakis, his initiative to include Theodorakis’ symphonic works in two landmark concerts in Montreal in the coming days, the current activities of the Greek community in Canada, as well as the building of a global empire that brought Greek cuisine to international prominence. He shared stories about fish that carry the scent of the Aegean, about the aesthetics and ethics of the Greek table, and about everything carried within by a man who never severed ties with his roots.
