The guest on the show was Giorgos Dovolos, professor of Byzantine music, lead cantor, and philologist. He spoke about the hymns of Byzantine music heard throughout Holy Week in Orthodox churches, emphasizing the deeper spiritual meaning of these days. Special mention was made of the Hymn of Kassiani, traditionally chanted on Holy Tuesday, as well as his recent interaction with the Greek diaspora during his visit to New Jersey with the music school “En Odais.”
