On Friday, 1 August, “The Sweet Life” flowed in a distinctly wine-driven rhythm. The spotlight was on Greek wine in all its dimensions, with special guest Yiannis Karakasis, Master of Wine—one of the foremost experts in the field. The conversation delved into the growing global presence of Greek vineyards, the Great Greek Wines initiative, the Greek Wine Explained project, and the next steps of a figure who continues to inspire, influence, and shape the Greek wine landscape. Also taking part in the discussion were Mark Andrew MW, founder of Noble Rot, winemaker Nikos Karatzas, and Evmorfia Kostaki, a winemaker from Samos and candidate Master of Wine.
