Dimitra Ch. Christodoulou was born in Athens in 1953.
She studied Law and Literature. She worked as a teacher in Public Secondary Education until her retirement. She has published thirteen books of poetry, a book of prose texts and a volume of translations of ancient Greek lyric poetry. Her fourteenth poetry collection will be published in 2019 by “Melani” publications.
Her poetry has been translated into several languages. She has been awarded: The 2008 Greek State Poetry Award for her book “LIMOS”, the electronic literary magazine “ANAGNOSTIS” 2015 Poetry Prize for her book “TO ELACHISTO PSOMI TIS SYNEIDISIS” and the Best Poetry Collection 2017 “Jean Moréas” Award from the “Poetry Bureau” for her book “PARAKTIOS OIKISMOS” .
