Katerina Thanopoulou was born in Athens.
She is a special education mathematician with postgraduate studies in Special Education, Intercultural and Remote Education. She participated in the collective publication “To Theatro kai oi technikes tou os mochlos anaptyxis tou ekpaideftikou”. She has published poems in cultural magazines and newspapers, and is involved in editing and book illustrations.
At the same time, since her student days, she has been active in the fields of culture, education, lifelong learning and local government, having served as Regional Vice Governor of Attica for Social Policy 2014-2016. She has published the poetry collections Labyrinthos Mnimi (2015) and Apnoia Mnimi (2018), which are in their second edition and are published by Aparsis publications and in July 2021, her third poetry collection titled Zosa Mnimi. She edited the collective volumes Ta diigimata tou Egkleismou, 2020, publ. Aparsis and Imerologio Poiisis, 2021, publ. Aparsis, and she has participated in several poetry anthologies.
