Katerina Iliopoulou has been publishing poems and texts on poetry since 2001.

She has published four books of poetry with Melani Publications, most recently “Mia Fora Kathe Topio kai Olotela” (2015), as well as a collection of short stories “Den Einai Akoma”, Melani 2019, a book of poetry and photography in collaboration with Giannis Isidorou (Gestus, 2014, publ. FRMK) as well as a book of essays on poetry “Mia Syzitisi gia tin Poiisi Tora” (collective work, 2018, publ. FRMK). She has taken part in several international poetry festivals, while her poems have been translated into several languages and included in magazines and anthologies. Since 2008 she has been editing the bilingual website for contemporary Greek poetry greekpoetrynow, and since 2013, she has been directing the biannual magazine FRMK (Farmako), for poetry, poetics and visual arts (honorable mention at the 2017 Greek State Literature Awards).

Her first book, “O Kyrios Taf” (Diavazo magazine’s Emerging Author Award), has been published in French, Turkish and Italian, while “To Vivlio tou Chomatos” has been published in French (publ. Desmos, 2018). She has translated works of contemporary poets such as Robert Hass, Mina Loy, Ted Hughes, etc. In collaboration with Eleni Iliopoulou, she has translated two books of Sylvia Plath’s poetry “Ariel”, Melani publications 2012 and “Sylvia Plath, Poiimata”, Kedros publications 2003, as well as an extensive anthology of Walt Whitman’s work, “Leaves of Grass” published in autumn 2019 by Kedros Publications.
