Manolis Pratikakis is one of the most notable contemporary poets. He has published many poetry collections, art critiques, short stories and articles. Poems of his have been translated into several languages. In 1999 he was nominated for the European Aristeion Prize for Literature. His poems have been set to music by composer Yannis Markopoulos. In 2003 he was awarded the Greek State Poetry Prize for his poetry collection “To Nero”. In 2012 he was awarded by the Academy of Athens for his entire body of work. |
